Keyword research and topic planning
Know what to write next.
Find topics connected to your business. Consider what readers need, what your existing pages already cover, and what evidence you can bring—not just a list of keywords.

Start with your business
Set out who you want to reach and what you offer. This gives topic planning a practical direction.
Understand the search
Review information gathered from ranking pages and related terms to decide which questions your article should answer.
Choose the right next step
Review existing pages and available materials before creating another article. Sometimes the better next step is updating a page or adding evidence.
The workflow
- Set your goals
- Review topic candidates
- Choose creation, improvement, or additional materials
An example
For a coffee-equipment business, you could organize questions about choosing a machine, cleaning it, and finding room for it. This is an illustrative use case, not measured search data.
What you can do on screen
- Open the Keyword / theme candidates screen from Choose from candidates in your article tasks.
- Use Gather candidates, sort the list (for example, Sort by search volume), and confirm a version with Approve this version.
- Each candidate shows the specific question, the page’s role, existing pages, the recommended action, evidence readiness, search volume, and the next step.
- Recommended actions include creating a new page, updating or strengthening an existing one, considering consolidation, fixing measurement, and flagging missing evidence.
- Register your site strategy under Settings: what you offer, the customer problems you solve, what is out of scope, and common pre-purchase questions.
What to know
Available search data depends on connections and collection status. Missing volumes are not presented as measured numbers.
Should I choose only high-volume keywords?
Consider business relevance, reader needs, and existing content together. A large audience is not automatically the right audience for your business.
Are the candidates generated by AI?
No. Candidates are gathered by rules from your strategy and data, without AI. When search volume is not available, it is shown as unknown.
